Actions
Our adult continence promotion teams provide support and management to adults with bladder and/or bowel dysfunction and who live in the Kensington and Chelsea, Westminster and Barnet areas. We can also provide information for patients and carers as required.
Our adult continence specialist nurses and physiotherapists offer care, advice and treatment to patients, and their carers, for a range of conditions including:
- stress urinary incontinence
- overactive bladder syndrome
- voiding dysfunction
- constipation
- fecal symptoms
- prolapses
- urinary tract infections
- painful intercourse
- catheterisation
Our recommended treatments include:
- pelvic floor muscle exercises
- bladder retraining
- electrical stimulation
- rectal exercises
