Solidarity Sports
Actions

Solidarity Sports is a charity that supports older children (aged 6-12) from a wide-variety of disadvantaged backgrounds to play in a mainstream setting. The Local Authority Short Breaks Team have partnered with Solidarity Sports to deliver inclusive play activities for those children who have a special educational need or disability.
The charity has previously helped hundreds of children through sports, adventure and other types of activities. They promote children to gain happiness, confidence, and friendships that cut across different backgrounds and cultures.
Established in 2007, Solidarity Sports initially focused on sports – a fun, easy
and healthy way to bring people together. Now they offer a wide-ranging activity schedule which includes:
- arts activities
- sports
- healthy eating
- educational group trips
- mentoring projects
- holdidays in the UK and abroad
Solidarity Sports runs on Saturdays and during school holidays.
It is suitable for children with less complex needs. This is because Solidarity Sports only does off-site activities.
