Family Friends supports families in becoming more resilient, independent, and less isolated.

The support is free, confidential and open to any family with children under 16 living in Kensington and Chelsea.

If you would like support, please visit our website and make a self-referral.

Family Friends offer two services:

Parent Befriending

Befrienders provide vital support to parents navigating challenging times, offering encouragement and understanding when it’s needed most.

By spending just two hours a week with a family, they become a trusted ally, a friendly ear and a source of steady support.

Befrienders typically work with families for 6 months to a year, providing consistent care that parents can count on.

Big Buddies

Big Buddies pairs volunteers with young people aged 10-25 to provide support and companionship during challenging times.

The program is built around flexibility and mutual respect. Big Buddies spend two hours a week, or fortnightly, with their matched young person over a period of 6-12 months.
