Kensington Aldridge Academy (Kensington and Chelsea)
Actions
Our aim is to become an outstanding school and a centre of excellence in teaching and learning, both within the borough of Kensington and beyond. Our teachers are given the time, training and management they need to become the best in their fields.
We have capitalised on the rare opportunity of creating a new school to design a first rate curriculum that prepares students for the demands of the new, strengthened national examination system. This means students at the academy receive a consistent diet of outstanding lessons – the ‘deal’ they get with us is second to none.
Specialist Resource Base for Autism
Kensington Aldridge Academy Autism Resource Base, The Grandin Centre, provides children and the opportunity of accessing the curriculum and social opportunities offered by an outstanding mainstream school with the support of autism specialists and an environment which enables small group learning alongside and/or in addition to the regular classroom.
This autism resource base enables young people age 11-16 years to follow an individual programme tailored to support them address key areas of development, in particular communication and social emotional skills through the provision of evidence-based intervention.
