Technological Advantages

'During Queen Elizabeth II's reign, technology came a long way. The most successful pieces of technology (in my opinion) are the technological advantages used for space travel as well as the internet. These historical events revolutionised humanity, such as the first moon landing in 1969, and the internet in the 1960s. My artwork showcases an astronaut, and tabs and logos from various websites. I find it amazing how our Queen has lived through a revolution of technological advantages forever changing the old world.' 

Miguel has been living in the borough for about seven years, and primarily draws web comics. The things that inspire him include Marvel movies, DC comics, Japanese culture as well as other cultures around the world. He describes his style as 'surreal art'. In 2020 he launched his first webtoon and has won two art awards, one in stop motion animation and another in a school contest of portraiture art. He believes digital art should be taken seriously, as it’s 'as useful and valid as all other mediums.'
