What is the service?
The Disabled Children’s service is made up of a range of teams who work together to provide a holistic service but where each has its own professional focus. These teams are:
- Disabled Children’s Team DCT - (social workers and social care workers)
- Occupational Therapist Team - (Occupational Therapists)
- Key Workers Team - (key workers)
- St Quintin Centre for Disabled Children and their families - (play and activity workers)
Who are the services for?
All services are available to residents of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, and are for children and young people up to the age of 18 years with a disability who are substantially and adversely affected in their ability to carry out normal day to day activities by a physical or mental impairment: This may include one or more of the following:
- physical disability
- a profound sensory impairment
- a chronic permanent ill health condition
- Autistic Spectrum Disorder with a learning disability
- learning disability
- a serious life limiting or terminal illness
