Description: | London Board School, formerly Latimer Road School, E R Robson. Dated 1879. Yellow brick, red brick dressings. Tiled roof. Three storeys. Symmetrical facade of nine bays. 5 central bays slightly higher with brick pilasters two half-dormers and 2 stone coped gables. To right, set back cross wing with Dutch gable and hipped half-dormer to return. Round heads to ground floor centre windows and half-dormers to front. Others square headed. Timber mullions and transomes with sashes and small panes with glazing bars. Hipped tiled roof. Tall chimneys. Carved stone plaques to half-dormer gables in brick surrounds; also to outer pairs of bays, with scrolly cut brick split pediments, that to right bearing the date. |
