Description: | Tomb of Sir Francis Freeling, died 1836. By Robert Johnson, mason of Westminster. Column on cube, Carrara marble and sandstone. Lower section in form of a cube on three-stepped base, supporting a demi-column on base with moulded necking. One of the earliest monuments in the cemetery. History: Freeling was responsible for reforming mail coaches and the postal service. |
