Rectangular chest upon two supports, above a two-stepped base; sides have sunken inscription panel flanked by slender amphorae in relief; shallow pyramidal cover. History: Sligo was an associate of the Prince Regent and Byron's; the excavator of the Treasury of Atreus at Mycenae (now in the British Museum); and sometime Governor of Jamaica responsible for emancipating slaves.
