Agent and landlord enquiries
If you're agent or landlord instructed by a ratepayer or tenant, you need to attach their Letter of Authority (LOA) to your enquiry.
The LOA must:
- be signed by a director or a secretary named on Companies House records or by the sole trader or proprietor
- state what you can authorise, such as account reviews, payments or applications for relief and credits
- give a correspondence address if we need to issue demands directly to you
- be dated within the last 12 months
- come directly from the ratepayer or tenant on their company headed paper
We can't accept:
- an LOA on landlord or agent headed paper
- a clause within a tenancy or licence agreement
- an email giving you authority from an unverified email address
