Youth Council Cost of Living Grant

Important update about grant funding
Thank you for visiting the Youth Participation Cost of Living page. We have an important update about how grant funding will be used this year.

Grant funding for 2025 to 2026

Young people told us what they need through the Youth Review, Your Voice Survey, and the Bi-Borough Children and Young People’s Plan 2023 to 2026.

In response, the Youth Council and Youth Participation Team are changing how we use the funds to better meet these needs.

With our newly elected Youth Council, we are launching two new initiatives for 2025 to 2026:

  • a two week paid internship scheme that gives young people real-world work experience, helps boost employability, and offers a chance to earn money while gaining new skills

  • a dedicated sports grant that helps young people access physical activity, wellbeing support, and personal development opportunities without the cost being a barrier

These initiatives reflect the priorities and aspirations expressed by young people across Kensington and Chelsea. We are committed to supporting their growth, wellbeing, and success in new and meaningful ways.

More information about our new initiatives will be available soon on our Youth Participation Fund page.
