Local Lettings Plan
Lancaster West Estate and Bramley House
If you lived on the Lancaster West Estate or Bramley House at the time of the Grenfell Tower tragedy, you could be eligible for a new home on the Estate or in Bramley House through the newly approved Local Lettings Plan.
The council’s Leadership Team approved the Local Lettings Plan after extensive consultation with residents. The final Plan has been co-designed with residents and an overwhelming majority of residents supported the Plan.
How does the plan work
If you lived on the Lancaster West Estate or in Bramley House at the time of the tragedy, the plan will ensure that you get first pick of available empty properties. The properties you can express an interest in will vary depending on the amount of points allocated to your specific living situation, for example, you may need:
- to downsize and can take advantage of empty properties more suited to your current needs
- some extra room, and could benefit from a property with an extra bedroom
- a property that is more accessible or that has fewer stairs
Work has already started on bringing empty homes on the estate and in Bramley House up to a high standard. Properties will only be let to residents once this work is complete.

- living away due to their home being unsuitable and who would like to return to the estate or Bramley House
