Residents of the Silchester Estate came together on 30 July 2026 for another fantastic Silchester Summer Family Fun Day at Waynflete Square, continuing what has become a much-loved annual event.
The square was filled with laughter, music and activities for residents of all ages. Children were captivated by Rabi the Entertainer, whose magic tricks kept the children entertained throughout the day. Families also enjoyed face painting, a bouncy castle, games, arts and crafts, and delicious refreshments including freshly prepared jerk chicken and curry.
DJ Kaylan added to the vibrant atmosphere with a fantastic soundtrack from start to finish.
A particular highlight was the end-of-day raffle, with generous prizes donated by Equans, the local Co-op and Nisa supermarkets. Lucky residents took home prizes including brand-new toasters and food hampers, helping to end the day on a high note.
The day was made possible through the collaboration and dedication of the Social Value Teams from Housing Management and Equans, alongside the Resident Liaison Team from RBKC Housing Management's Capital Delivery Team, and the many volunteers and partners who worked behind the scenes to organise it.
