We’re inviting residents to join a Task and Finish focus group to discuss how we can develop emissions-based charging for parking on estates.
In the first part of the session we’ll ask for your views on what this type of charging should aim to achieve. We will explore your thoughts on fair parking charges, incentives for switching to lower-emission vehicles, and how the changes might be introduced. We’ll also discuss how we can make the new system fair for everyone, and what features or services you would like to see included.
In the second part, we look at how other councils have introduced emissions based charges to understand which approaches the group prefers. to get a sense of the group's preferred approach.
Your input will help us ensure residents’ voices have been heard as we make recommendations for potential changes.
