Welcoming Our First Green Skills Work Experience Students

This week, were proud to host our first-ever Green Skills Work Experience at Lancaster West.

We’ll be welcoming five students from Kensington Aldridge Academy, all young women and residents of Lancaster West Estate. This is a big step for us as a neighbourhood team and a chance to show how housing, sustainability, and community development come together in real life.

Over the week, the students will:

•    Explore green refurbishment, energy networks, and housing services
•    Take part in rooftop tours, gardening, and biodiversity activities
•    Hear from staff about their career journeys
•    Try out co-design, digital tools, and creative problem-solving

This is more than just work experience. It’s about building confidence, learning new skills, and helping young people see how they can shape greener, fairer communities starting right here.
