Residents who want to know more about the Coronavirus vaccine are being invited to a free online Community Conversation being held by the Council together with the Lancaster West Neighbourhood Team.

Taking place on Tuesday 16 March between 5.30pm and 6.45pm, the event aims to address any questions residents have about the vaccine and tackle any concerns people might have which are making them hesitant about taking the vaccine.

The event will be hosted by Michael Defoe, Harrow Club Chief Executive, with a panel of speakers including Liz Dunsford from the Council's Public Health team and local GPs Dr Manpreet Bains and Meena Nathan.

This will be a virtual event and you can join on Zoom  The password is: 706598

Michael Defoe, said: “To date over 32,000 people have taken up their Covid-19 vaccine in our borough, which is absolutely fantastic news. The vaccine rollout programme is injecting hope into our communities and is helping us on our road to recovery and getting our lives back.

“However, we do know there are still some people who are unsure or hesitant about getting the vaccine for their own personal reasons. The number of hospitalisations and deaths is still worrying, so it is important that residents have all the facts, so they can make an informed choice when invited to take the vaccine. This community conversation aims to do just that. Please do attend if you have any questions at all or want to find out more.”
