From today (Monday 5 October) a semi-permanent Coronavirus testing centre is open on Malton Road.
The centre is at The Hub, 2-4 Malton Road, W10 5UP and open seven days a week, from 8am to 8pm. It can be used by anyone with symptoms. A test must be booked in advance at NHS online or by calling 119.
The centre significantly increases the number of tests available to residents in the Kensington and Chelsea. Another testing site is located at Kensington Olympia and open twice every week. The Council and Public Health England have also provided temporary mobile testing sites at Kensington Town Hall, World’s End Estate and Holy Trinity Brompton over the last month. Over 9,000 tests have been carried out on these sites since testing began.
Russell Styles, Director of Public Health for Kensington and Chelsea said: “If you test positive for Coronavirus, NHS Test and Trace will help you identify people you have been in contact with who may need to self-isolate.
"You can help limit the spread of Coronavirus by downloading the NHS Test and Trace app from Google Play or the App Store and checking in to locations like shops, bars and restaurants using their unique QR codes.
"Reduce the chances of spreading Coronavirus by remembering Hand, Face, Space; Wash your hands regularly for at least 20 seconds with soap and water, keep your face covered in shops, on public transport and where you can’t stay at least 2m apart and always try to stay 2m apart from anyone outside your household or bubble."
