Rapid community testing for those without Coronavirus symptoms who cannot work from home

Friday 19 February 2021

As Coronavirus cases remain high across London and our NHS is at risk of being overwhelmed, rapid community testing for those critical workers without Coronavirus symptoms is being offered across Kensington and Chelsea.

Testing is available for those people who have no Coronavirus  symptoms who currently cannot work from home, critical workers, essential retail workers and tradespeople who enter people’s homes.

If you fall into one of these categories you are able to visit one of three sites to get a rapid community test.  Please do not attend one of these sites if you have Coronavirus symptoms.

  • Kensington Leisure Centre, Silchester Road, W10 6EX
From 10am to 4pm seven days a week.

  • Kensington Town Hall, Hornton Street, W8 7NX
8am to 5.30pm Monday and Wednesday, 8.30am to 5.30pm Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and 10am to 4pm at weekends.

  • Chelsea Old Town Hall, King’s Road, SW3 5EE
From 10am to 4pm seven days a week

Please visit the GOV.UK website for further information on critical workers.

Rapid community testing can help to identify those critical workers who might be carrying the virus and be contagious, but not have any symptoms. This means you can then self-isolate and limit the spread to protect those who are more vulnerable.

You must not attend any of these testing sites if you have Coronavirus symptoms.  Testing sites are available around the borough at Kensington Olympia, Royal Hospital and Malton Road for people displaying symptoms. If you have a high temperature; a new, continuous cough; or loss or change of taste or smell you should book a test via NHS online or by calling 119.
