Come and help drive change at the Council

Published: Tuesday 20 May 2025

We are inviting 10 to 15 bereaved family members, survivors and residents to join a new Independent Advisory Panel (IAP) to ensure that we deliver on our Grenfell Inquiry commitments.

Last year, we made 45 commitments in response to the Grenfell Tower Inquiry. These include an external review of Council culture, a full review of the complaints process, and ensuring residents’ perspectives shape improvements to services.

The new IAP is a resident-led panel that will:

  • Hold us to account for honouring the 45 commitments we have made
  • Shape important projects, like the external review of Council culture and complaints handling
  • Ensure that residents’ voices are central to this work

We are encouraging applications from people with lived experience or specialist expertise in areas like housing, safety, customer service and others. We are also keen to hear from anyone who doesn’t already have other leadership roles in the community.

Those interested will be expected to attend meetings every four to six weeks over the next year.

We will provide support and training, and your time and expertise will be recognised and compensated.

If you’re interested, please send a short expression of interest, including:

  • A bit about yourself and why you are interested
  • Any experience or knowledge you might have
  • What areas of the Council’s commitments you’re most interested in
