What makes your local library special, and what could make it even better?
Our libraries and archives residents’ survey is now open. The survey asks residents for their views on the services they like and would like to see across both Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster.
The survey is an important part of our work to develop the libraries and archives service and gives residents and our wider communities an opportunity to share their views on current services and future priorities.
The survey runs for eight weeks and closes on Tuesday 17 November 2026.
Whether you’re a regular library user, an occasional visitor, or even someone who hasn’t used our services yet, your opinion matters.
Councillor Tom Bennett, lead member with the responsibility for libraries and archives services, said:
“In Kensington and Chelsea, we take great pride in our libraries, many of which have been operating for over 100 years. To ensure they continue to move with the times and provide the best services for users, we want to hear from you. Please take 10 minutes to tell us what works, what doesn’t, and what.”

To complement the survey, we will also be holding community forums at each library and archive to capture resident feedback, encourage discussion and ensure that a wide range of voices help shape the future direction of the service. You can view the Community Forum dates on Eventbrite.
