We want to hear from the local community about how to improve markets in the borough as part of the five-year Markets Plan being launched later this year.

Join one of the virtual Markets Plan Conversations sessions to discuss what might be included in the Council’s Markets Plan 2021-2026. The Markets Plan will showcase how we want to make Portobello and Golborne Road Market, along with other market locations in the borough, a great place for everyone to shop and enjoy.

Cllr Catherine Faulks, Lead Member for Economy, Employment and Innovation said:

“Kensington and Chelsea is home to one of the world’s famous markets, Portobello and Golborne, as well as a fantastic range of others, and our Markets Plan will show how we are dedicated to leading the way in best practice for traders and visitor experience.

“It’s so important that we hear the views of a diverse variety of voices across the community about what to include in the Plan so we welcome everyone along to the online sessions to share their thoughts.”

There will be two sessions on Monday 8 March 2021 at 10am and 6.30pm for you to share your views, whether you’re a resident, business owner, trader or frequent market visitor. Both sessions last for an hour and a half and are open to everyone who lives, works or learns in the borough.

Following these discussions, there will be a consultation document created with the proposed key action points for the Markets Plan. You will then be able to take part in an online survey to provide feedback on the document for the finalised Plan.
