We are working to resolve ongoing issues with our parking permits system which is affecting payments, cancellations and refunds.
New subscriptions remain temporarily paused while this work continues, but you can still buy three, six and 12 month parking permits.
What has caused the issues?
The issues have been caused by differences between our parking permit and payment systems, which have meant some payment dates, permit end dates and transaction records have not matched correctly. This has affected some subscription payments, automatic renewals and refunds, and we are working with our payment provider to reconcile the records and applying fixes to the Parking Permits system to help to resolve remaining cases.
Cllr Josh Rendall, lead member for transport, parks and clean streets, said: “We recognise the impact these issues have had on residents and apologise for any frustration caused. Restoring confidence in our parking services is a priority, and we are focused on resolving the remaining problems as soon as possible and providing residents with the reliable service they rightly expect."
More than 405 payment records have now been corrected and fixes for several system issues have been successfully tested. Residents are protected from enforcement where records may be incorrect.
You may have also received multiple emails or letters about their parking permits with contradictory or incorrect information. These correspondence issues have been resolved and we apologises for any confusion and inconvenience they caused.
Refunds remain the main outstanding issue, with 1,076 cases awaiting resolution, and we are checking these carefully to ensure people receive the correct amount.
We apologise for any inconvenience. If you have concerns about outstanding bills or are in need of wider support please call 020 7361 4381 or email [email protected]
