The operator of a South Kensington shisha lounge has pleaded guilty to an offence under the Health Act 2006 after people were found smoking in an enclosed marquee in the garden area of the hotel in 1 Lexham Gardens.
Failed to take action
Thinet International Limited, who operated the Secret Garden Lounge, in 1 Lexham Gardens, was prosecuted by Kensington and Chelsea Council after failing to take action following advice and warnings from trading standards officers about shisha smoking at the venue.
Court hearing
On Tuesday 5 May at City of London Magistrates Court, Pritam Kotian, manager of the lounge entered a guilty plea, minutes before his trial was due to start. At the hearing, Thinet International Limited, Care Property Management and Pritam Kotian were fined £3,900 in total.
