It’s GCSE results day, and here in Kensington and Chelsea young learners are opening their results to find out their grades following two years of studying, exams and coursework.
Cllr Catherine Faulks, Lead Member for Family and Children’s Services, said:
“Our young learners have done themselves, and their schools, very proud today, with provisional results showing great outcomes across the borough. To our young learners, I say celebrate, enjoy the summer, but make sure you’ve got your next move lined up; whether it’s sixth form, college, an apprenticeship, or something different altogether! You have options, and we’re right here behind you.”
Local learners open their results
Across Kensington and Chelsea, provisional results show 68% per cent of students achieved a GCSE grade 5 to 9, remaining consistent with 2023, and above the national average of 52%.
What support is available?
Getting your results can be a stressful experience, and it is okay if you are feeling disappointed or down. Your school, college or sixth form should be your first point of contact if you have specific concerns about your results and what options you have ahead of you.
