How PayByPhone works

PayByPhone is a convenient way to pay for parking by credit or debit card.

You can pay:

  • by app
  • online
  • by phone 

You can use PayByPhone wherever you see the signs in the borough and all over the UK.

Shared use motorcycle bay

These bays can be used by the borough’s motorcycle permit holders. There is a charge in place for visitors during controlled zone hours. 

Payment sessions are available for daily, monthly and yearly durations. This can be purchased at the time of parking.

Fully electric motorcycles can park for free by booking a PayByPhone session at nil charge.

You can move during the period you have paid for to any other shared use solo motorcycle bay without further charge whilst your session is still active. 

Transaction costs per session

The Paybyphone system costs five pence per session to use on top of the parking tariff, and also to extend it.

Optional text messages are available at an additional cost:

  • twenty five pence for a booking confirmation
  • twenty five pence for a reminder that the session is about to finish

How to register

It's quick and easy to register online. You will need your:

  • vehicle details
  • credit or debit card details (we do not accept American Express of Diners cards)
