Parking permit system issues

We're working to fix issues affecting some parking permit accounts. This page explains what the issues are, who is affected, and what you need to do.

Current parking permit issues

These issues are affecting some of our parking permit systems.

This includes:

  • payments
  • subscriptions
  • renewals
  • refunds

We're working to resolve these issues and we'll update this page as we make progress.

We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience

How we're fixing the issues

We are:

  • correcting payment information
  • investigating known system issues
  • checking account records
  • processing outstanding refunds
  • improving customer communications

Check if you're affected

You may be affected if you have:

  • received unexpected emails or letters
  • had problems with payments, renewals or refunds
  • contacted us about a permit issue

If your permit is working normally and you have not received unexpected emails or letters, you do not need to do anything.

If you're unsure, contact us and we'll check your account.

Buying a parking permit

You can still buy:

  • 3 month permits
  • 6 month permits
  • 12 month permits

You'll need to pay the full amount upfront because new payment subscriptions are temporarily unavailable.

Buy a resident parking permit.

Payment subscriptions

New payment subscriptions are temporarily unavailable while we fix the system issues.

If you started a subscription before 27 August 2026, we'll continue to collect your payments as normal.

Contact us if:

  • you've received unexpected emails or letters
  • you think there's a problem with your permit or payments

If you've received conflicting information

We're sorry that some residents have received incorrect or conflicting information about their parking permits.

We've changed some automated messages to help prevent this happening again.

Contact us if you're unsure what you need to do.

Permit renewals

If you chose auto-renewal when setting up your subscription, you'll have received confirmation that this was set up for you.

Some residents received renewal reminders even though auto-renewal was already set up. These reminders were not always correct.

If you receive an unexpected renewal request, contact us before taking any action. We'll check your account.

Problems with payments and accounts

Contact us if:

  • your payment is not showing correctly
  • a payment is missing from your account
  • your bank statement and permit account show different amounts
  • you paid for a permit but did not receive confirmation
  • you changed your vehicle or address and have experienced permit issues

We'll review your account and investigate the issue.

Refunds

If you're waiting for a refund

You will still receive your refund.

We're currently reviewing and processing more than 1,000 refund cases. Some refunds need additional checks to make sure we refund the correct amount.

We're sorry that some refunds are taking longer than we would like.

Why some refunds are delayed

Some refunds require us to check:

  • payment records
  • permit records
  • vehicle changes
  • previous refunds
  • additional charges due on the account

These checks help us make sure we refund the correct amount.

Can I get an update on my refund?

We're currently unable to provide updates on individual refund requests.

This allows us to focus on processing refunds as quickly as possible.

We're still processing your refund will complete it as soon as we can.

If you cannot afford another permit while waiting for a refund

If you're waiting for a refund and cannot afford to buy another permit, contact us and explain your circumstances.

Parking tickets (PCNs)

We have measures in place to help prevent residents receiving Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) because of these issues.

If you think you've received a PCN because of a permit issue, follow the instructions on the notice.

Contact us if you need help.
