Pedestrian Improvements at traffic lights in Chelsea – consultation

There was one reported personal injury collision involving a pedestrian at this junction during the last three years. This junction currently has no Green Man crossings.

This part of the network is quieter than Fulham Road or King’s Road and we do not expect there to be significant negative impacts on bus and general traffic journey times as a result of these improvements. Whilst the introduction of the pedestrian facilities here will mean that traffic will have to wait for longer before receiving a green signal, when it arrives, that green signal will be longer than at present, allowing traffic to discharge through the junction without significant additional queuing or delays.
