Bank holiday parking
We are working to resolve ongoing issues with our parking permits system which is affecting payments, cancellations and refunds.
New subscriptions are temporarily paused while this work continues. You can still buy three, six and 12 month parking permits.
You may have received multiple emails or letters about parking permits with contradictory or incorrect information. We apologises for any confusion caused. Residents are protected from enforcement where records may be incorrect.

Bank Holiday parking
Road closures and parking restrictions apply within the 2026 Notting Hill Carnival area.
On bank holidays and public holidays:
- pay-by-phone parking bays are free
- restrictions do not apply to resident permit bay parking
Parking bays
Pay-by-phone parking bays are free (includes Holland Park off-street car park).
Restrictions do not apply to resident permit bay parking.
Single yellow line restrictions
Single yellow line waiting restrictions
- do not apply on bank holidays and public holidays, unless the vehicle is causing an obstruction to the flow of traffic and excludes single yellow lines in safety zones* outside the restricted Carnival footprint
- do not apply on Sundays (see Carnival exemption*) (including Easter Sunday) and on Christmas Day
Individual single yellow lines operating on a Sunday are identified by a separate plate. These do not apply on Christmas Day.
Parking suspensions
Parking places are generally not suspended over bank holidays and public holidays, except for:
- suspensions for the purpose of a traffic flow or for an alternative bay are restricted 24 hours for each suspended day (or at any time for yellow line dispensations). This includes bank holidays, public holidays and weekends that fall within the suspended period.
Check the yellow suspension signs on the street for full details.
Double yellow lines restrictions
Double yellow line restrictions apply on every day of the year.
Restricted zones
Waiting is prohibited at all times in restricted zones. The entry and exit is clearly signposted in a restricted zone.
