Services for residents TEST3

Local services

Residents need services in the areas where they live.

We will improve our housing services by:

  • bringing services closer to where residents live
  • making services easier to use
  • improving the quality of services we provide

World’s End: developing tailored services

Designing new services

Our World's End area project is a direct answer to what residents have asked for.

We are working with residents and interested parties to find out how:

  • our new ideas will help residents
  • working across the council and other providers gives residents better services

Asking residents

In August 2024, we asked residents about the services they need from the Blantyre office. We used:

  • a paper survey
  • a online survey delivered using social media, council newsletters, local organisations, posters and leaflets
  • direct contact with residents
  • meetings with specific groups

Blantyre Housing Office: a new look

Our new office will help us provide better and easier to use services for residents.

The new, larger Blantyre Office space will allow specialist teams to work together. This will provide a better services for visitors to the office.

Designing the reception

The residents had a design board where they could choose their favourite designs for the new reception area. This helped them choose the final look of the office reception, to create a warm and welcoming space.

Temporary address

In December 2024, the office will move to 1-2 World’s End Place while we rebuild and redecorate the Blantyre Office. The temporary office will offer the same services to residents.
