Procurement in the borough

The Council must ensure that money received from taxpayers is spent wisely and that best value for money is achieved through fair and effective competition amongst suppliers under specific sets of Procurement Rules.

Information on the different tender processes can be found on the Supplier Guidance pages. In addition, the Council may use approved lists such as Constructionline for low value works, and may make use of framework agreements awarded by other public bodies, such as Crown Commercial Services (CCS). Collaborating with other local authorities and public bodies can help the Council access better prices by leveraging the combined buying power.

Purchases will be made on the basis of the Council's standard Terms and Conditions ( available to download below), unless alternative Terms and Conditions have been agreed during a tender process.
