Disposable vapes ban

The sale of single-use/disposable vapes is banned from from 1 June 2025.
Single-use/disposable vapes are any vape that is not refillable and rechargeable. You must ensure that you have no single-use/disposable vapes in stock after 1 June 2025.
It will be an offence to supply, offer to supply or possess for supply single-use vapes after this date. This applies to all vapes whether they contain nicotine or not.
'Take back' service
Vapes are electrical items, covered by the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2013. The seller must offer a 'take back' service, meaning retailers should accept from customers to be recycled:
- vapes, including single-use vapes returned after the ban comes into force
- vape parts, such as used pods, coils or batteries
