Questions we receive about the City Living, Local Life grant

What do councillors do?

Local councillors are elected for 4-year terms by the local community to represent its views.

What can I apply for? 

Have a look at our eligibility criteria to work out whether you are eligible for this grant. However, if you belong to a community organisation that wants to support their local residents, then that is a good starting point. 

How much can I apply for?

For single ward applications you can apply for up to £5,000 for an event or project and up to £1,000 for a product.  
For multi-ward applications you can apply for up to £10,000 for an event or project and up to £2,000 for a product. 

How long will my application take to be processed?  

Up to 12 weeks.

Can I apply for an event, project or product that has already happened/been purchased? 

No. You can only apply for events, projects and products that are yet to happen/be purchased.
