What is the Council's constitution?
The Council's constitution sets out how we operate and make decisions. It also contains the procedures that make sure the Council is efficient, transparent and accountable to local people. Some processes are required by law, while we have adopted others by choice.
We have grouped constitution documentation into eight parts. More detailed procedures and codes of practice are in Part 8.
