Register for Council Tax

Tell us you are moving into Kensington and Chelsea so we can set up your Council Tax account and send your bill.

If you are moving into Kensington and Chelsea

You'll need to tell us:

• your current address, including postcode
• your new Kensington and Chelsea address, including postcode
• your move-in date
• your completion date (if you own the property)
• your tenancy start date (if you rent)
• whether the property will be empty or unoccupied
• contact details for your solicitor or landlord (if known)
• how you'll pay your Council Tax
• the name and forwarding address of the previous occupier (if known)

Before you start

We'll use your personal information in line with our Fair Processing Notice.

• the form takes around 3 to 5 minutes to complete.
• use the Previous button within the form if you need to go back. Do not use your browser’s back button as this may not work.
• by selecting the Submit, you confirm that the information you provided is correct to the best of your knowledge.

What happens next

We aim to issue you with your bill within 10 days of the start of your account or notification (if you are moving in at a future date)
