Hellos and goodbyes...
Two new members of staff were introduced – Debra Mackenzie, who is a project manager on damp and mould, and Zino Khaloufi who will be a resident engagement officer. Sadly James Heritage- Head of Capital Works and Paul Fisher from the Environment Team are leaving!
Mutual exchange policy
Levi Burke - Head of Neighbourhoods gave an overview if our mutual exchange policy, which is intended to support residents to exchange their homes with those of other tenants. Levi set out the application process and explained what grounds there may be for a refusal.
Estate Parking
Dan Malinder who has just joined the Policy Team explained we are looking to review the policy, to develop a policy that was focussed on CO2 emission charges, and which addressed the discrepancy between charging in the North and South of the Borough. Dan appealed to residents to join a task and finish group to look at this.
Service standards
One of our resident leads gave an update on a piece of work they are doing to improve service standards, giving examples like ensuring staff provide their contact details and put on out of offices messages when on leave. Another resident lead presented the idea of forming a network of resident associations.
Doug Goldring
Shortly after the meeting Doug Goldring, who has been Director of Housing Management since 2018 announced he is retiring in August.
TCC Schedule
It was decided that over the summer the TCC members would be asked to vote as whether it should remain with the alternate online and in person pattern, or return to meeting in person every month.
The next TCC will be on Wednesday 11 June – and among the items discussed will be Decent Homes, the Heat Networks and the recruitment of Doug’s successor.
