We were delighted to officially reopen the newly renovated Blantyre Street Local Housing Office on Wednesday 3 September.
Residents from the local area joined Cllr Sof McVeigh, lead member for housing, Kojo Sarpong, director of housing management, and Eryl Wrage, chair of the World's End Residents’ Association to celebrate the reopening.
The office had been closed for renovations since April, following consultation with residents across the estate and local area.
Residents told us they’d like to see more local services, so as well as smartening up the reception are to make it more welcoming, we have added expanded office space so there’s a permanent base on the estate for our:
- Neighbourhoods team
- Rent income team
- Repairs team
The home ownership team will also work from the estate on specific days so leaseholders can drop in to discuss anything.
The office is now open 9am to 5pm weekdays and we’re looking into offering an evening service one night a week so residents can meet our colleagues after work. Stay tuned for more on that.
The reopening party, organised by our resident engagement team, featured speeches from our guests, as well as refreshments and activities for residents and their families.
We hope you’ll find the new look office at 12 Blantyre Street, World's End Estate, SW10 0EU more welcoming, and enjoy the expanded services now offered.
