The Council is actively looking to recruit landlords to help us to find homes for residents to whom we have accepted a housing duty. Many are currently living in temporary accommodation.
We do not charge landlords for our help to find a tenant and we do not charge fees to tenants. We can draw up all the necessary paperwork, and if you renew the tenancy, we’ll help you with that too.
Generally, rents should fit within the Local Housing Allowance (LHA), set by Government, which dictates the rents that housing benefit will pay. You can check LHA rates online. However our residents can sometimes afford to top up, so do get in touch to discuss rental amounts further. We also pay landlords a financial incentive for working with us.
At the moment we don’t run a fully managed service, but we are always at the end of the phone to give you some more free advice if you need it.
