Dates and location

The Community Science Programme takes place from 7 to 26 October 2017 with the majority of events taking place at the Mayor’s Parlour at Kensington Town Hall, Hornton Street, W8 7NX.

Speakers and presenters

Our speakers and presenters include: Professor Sanjeev Gupta, Professor Lord Julian Hunt, Angela Saini, Dame Mary Archer, Dr Roger Tabor, Dr Helen Czerski and many other skilled science communicators and professionals from research, policy, journalism and teaching.

Partners, outreach and aims

Working with distinguished local partners and complementing many of the Council’s outreach programmes, we very much hope to attract those who have never previously attended a science event or for whom ‘science’ is something they haven’t consciously engaged with for some time.

The programme will create science champions, whose role is to stimulate an interest in science within their local communities.
