Description

Page from a sketchbook. Study for a composition four children or babies. The oldest child, a boy, lies with the body extended to the right of the composition. The right elbow supports the weight of the upper body. The head is bent forward. A baby is seated on the boy's lap, in profile, facing to the left. The head is bent forward and the hands raised to the face. In the background a small child crouches facing the viewer with arms rest on the knees. The child wears a hat. To the left of this child the bowed head of a girl is just seen.
