St Clement and St James Community Development Project

Art in our communities

July 2006 – August 2007

A major strand of the Leighton Drawings Project is the opportunity to take the creative process of drawing beyond the walls of the museum. Beginning in July 2006, Leighton House Museum will team up with community partners to deliver creative workshops for diverse audiences across all age ranges.

St Clement and St James Community Development Project

Leighton House Museum and its drawings collection will become the source of inspiration for young people at St Clement and St James over the coming summer and winter months.

Along with after school art clubs, young participants will also study Leighton’s drawing techniques as inspiration for the design and construction of costumes, floats and masks for this year’s Notting Hill Carnival.
