Westminster training opportunities by Homeless Health Co-ordination Project (HCCP)
The Westminster Homeless Health Coordination Project (HHCP) offers free training, to people working in Westminster, as part of the ambition of the Changing Futures programme delivered by Westminster City Council. These sessions are designed to help professionals respond more effectively to individuals experiencing multiple disadvantage—with a focus on homelessness. Although the training does not focus specifically on children, it may still be useful for those working with families, as it addresses the broader adult experiences that often shape family circumstances.
The training covers a breadth of topics including:
• Understanding the causes and impacts of multiple disadvantage, and how they overlap in people’s lives
• Trauma-informed practice and how to apply it when supporting clients
• Health inequalities and barriers to accessing care
• Working better together across services to provide more coordinated, person-centred support
