Sloane Street consultation

In January 2017 we sent consultation documents to over 12,000 properties in Sloane Street and the surrounding area.

Public exhibitions

We also held four public exhibitions which gave detailed information including:

• a model
• videos showing how traffic flows and capacity would be maintained
• traffic survey results
• other technical information

Consultation results

The consultation showed that overall there is support for the proposals to change Sloane Street by:

• widening the pavements
• introducing high quality paving and street lighting
• planting more trees and plants

In April 2019 the Council confirmed its decision to progress with the Sloane Street project.
