About the workshop
Join us for a fun and relaxed hands-on embroidery workshop that covers how to stitch your own Botanical Terrarium - and take it home!
With all materials and tuition provided, practising artist and embroiderer Katy Horwood will guide participants and teach them a range of stitches, embellishments techniques and blending threads.
Stitches to cover includes: Satin Stitch, French Knot, Bullion Stitch, Cast-on-Stitch, Chain Stitch and Whipped Back Stitch.
Useful Information:
- All materials included: embroidery hoop and fabric, DMC threads, beads an sequins, and stitch booklet.
- All abilities welcome - suitable for beginners to intermediate / advance embroiderers.
- The workshop will take place in the Learning Centre at Leighton House.
- The ticket price includes admission to the historic house and exhibitions, on the day during opening hours (10am - 5:30pm).
- Complimentary tea & coffee. There is a cafe onsite to purchase a variety of sandwiches, bakes and drinks.
