Including everyone

No one should be excluded from voting due to circumstances out of their control. That's why arrangements are in place to make these elections as accessible as possible to eligible voters.

If you are unable to get to a polling station on Thursday 7 May, you can apply for a postal vote by 5pm on Tuesday 21 April, or a proxy vote by 5pm on Tuesday 28 April. Find out more on our elections page.

Residents will be able to scan a QR code at the polling booth to hear a recording of the candidates and parties they can vote for, in case they have issues with vision or comprehension.

Keeping you posted

The Council has been running a borough-wide awareness campaign to ensure residents understand how and when to take part, including information shared through social media and local publications.
