What makes your local library special, and what could make it even better?
We’ve launched a new survey giving you the chance to help shape our libraries and archives by sharing what you think about current services and what the priorities should be in the future.
It only takes around 10 minutes to complete and is open for eight weeks until Tuesday 17 November 2026. Whether you’re a regular library user, an occasional visitor or even haven’t used the services yet, we want to hear from you.
Councillor Tom Bennett, lead member with the responsibility for libraries and archives services, said:
“Our libraries are much-loved assets in communities across Kensington and Chelsea, many of which have been operating for over 100 years.
"To ensure they continue to move with the times and provide the best services for users, we want to hear from you.
"Please take 10 minutes to tell us what works, what doesn’t and what new ideas can make our libraries even better places to visit.”
How can I take part?
There are a few easy ways to get involved:
- You can find out more about the survey and complete it online
- Visit your local library for a printed version
- Join a community forum in your local library (see below)
What are community forums?
To complement the survey, we will also be holding community forums at each library and archive.
These sessions will capture resident feedback, encourage discussion and ensure that a wide range of voices help shape the future direction of the service.
