You can search, view and comment on applications using the Planning Applications Search on the council's website. The service is updated regularly, and key milestones and target dates are shown under "Proposal Details".
If you have submitted an application that is still within its statutory determination period, or an agreed extension of time, a progress update may not yet be available. If you need to speak to the planning officer dealing with your application, you can email them directly. Their contact details can be found in:
- your planning application acknowledgement letter
- any emails or letters about your application

About this Supplementary Planning Document (SPD)
This SPD:
- identifies which areas of the borough are unable or less able to absorb new tall buildings and structures
- explains our policies to determine planning applications for tall buildings and structures
- describes positive tests that new proposals should satisfy
- offers a checklist of design issues to help prepare planning submissions
The SPD forms part of the Local Development Framework (LDF) and supplements policies within the Unitary Development Plan (UDP), notably Strat10, CD1-2, CD8-11, CD13-15, CD17, CD27-28, CD57 and CD61-63, and the Core Strategy, notably policies CO5 and CL2.
You can read hard copies at the Town Hall Planning Information Desk and at all libraries in the borough.
