Our Plan for a Successful Local Economy – Live, Work and Learn

Live, Work and Learn: Our plan for a successful local economy

Kensington and Chelsea has many strengths: a thriving business sector, world-class institutions, a diverse and entrepreneurial population and a world-famous market. However not everyone is fully benefitting from the vast opportunities available and we are determined to change that.

A strong and inclusive economy helps people achieve their ambitions; it provides the chances for local businesses to thrive and for residents from all walks of life, including young people just starting out, to gain skills and jobs that will help them progress and realise their potential.

We have developed a strategy to deliver this. To do this we consulted with communities, the Voluntary and Community Sector, businesses and local employers and we are grateful for their insights to help us construct our plan.

We are committed to working together so that Kensington and Chelsea is a place where all residents can access opportunities and businesses can flourish, a place with an economy that works for everyone.

The Lead Member for Skills and Enterprise, Councillor Catherine Faulks introduces the strategy: watch the video on YouTube.
