STARS events and key dates

TfL and Borough STARS events

Both TfL and the Royal Borough host events throughout the year, TfL host their STARS workshops and Top Schools Awards in November and December, and the Royal Borough hosts Junior Travel Ambassador (JTA) training sessions in October, STARS teacher workshops in June/July, and the calendar competition celebration event.

JTA training sessions provide pupils with resources (including bags, guides and badges) and everything they need to know about their role, whilst our STARS teacher workshops provide School Travel Champions with an opportunity to learn more about STARS and a dedicated time to work on their own school travel plans. This includes uploading stories, entering hands-up survey data, and creating the school travel plan, all directly supported by the borough officer.

Information about these TfL and borough workshops and training sessions will be provided throughout the year by the Sustainable Travel Team, including details on how to book a place. If you’re unable to attend any borough events, just contact us and we can arrange for your borough officer to meet you and/or your JTA’s directly at your school for a session. Please email us at [email protected] to organise this.
