Highway licence fees are changing from 1 April 2025 

The cost of licences, including renewals, for skips and temporary structures or material on the highway, and other licencing fees, will increase from 1 April 2025:

  • licences to erect scaffolding, temporary structures, hoarding or to deposit building material on the highway will cost £683 per application
  • mobile lifting operation licence increases to £750
  • licence to deposit a skip on the highway will cost £146 per application
  • administration fee for holding a deposit for a licence will be £66 per application

Charges for suspending a parking bay will also increase from 1 April 2025.
