Did you know that the adventure playground in the Venture Centre was first built in 1960 and was one of the first in London? There are two fantastic playground areas complete with tango swings, tree houses and rope bridges. Ofsted registered play workers run a variety of art and craft activities, sports and games.

Entry is free for children aged between five and 12 and is open every day after school between 3.30pm and 6pm and on Saturdays between 11am and 4.45pm.

Open between 10.30am and 5.30pm during the holidays. The Venture Centre also runs loads of fun after school and holiday activities for children and family events check out the website for the weekly programme.

Hornimans Adventure Playground

FootballHornimans Adventure Playground offers free adventure play facilities and activities led by qualified playworkers all year round. There is a quiet garden area used for growing fruit and vegetables, four pygmy goats (Freddy, Bobby and the twins Barry White and Harry), an art room, a kitchen and large hall for team games. Hornimans has an ever-evolving adventure playground with traditional structures and a junk play area where children can build and destruct their own structures. They also run a varied selection of arts and crafts, sports and team games, as well as a cooking club and music hub.

The playground is for children aged between five and 16 and is free to visit. Opening hours in term time are between 3.30pm and 6.45pm from Monday to Friday and between 11am and 4.45pm on Saturdays. During holiday periods opening hours are between 11am and 5.45pm during the week and the playground is closed on Saturdays.

At Wormwood Scrubs Adventure Playground there are a wide range of activities on offer both indoors and out. Outdoor activities include sports and games such as football and large group games and adventure play on varied structures that test skills at climbing, swinging from ropes and balancing ability!

Indoor activities on offer include arts and crafts, dance, computers and much more.

Open during the week between 3.30pm and 6pm and at the weekend on Saturday between 12 noon and 4pm and on Sunday between 12 noon and 3pm.

Toddlers world at Kensington Leisure Centre

Toddler’s world sessions run every day for children under five with soft toys, building blocks and a bouncy castle. Toddler’s World costs £3.40 per child with a concessionary rate of £1.70 with a leisure pass.

Bramley’s Big Adventure

Bramley’s Big Adventure is an indoor adventure playground for children, from babies up to 11 years old. Hidden under the Westway, Bramley’s contains a giant three level playframe with slides, ball pools, swings, climbing and separate areas for babies and under 5s.

It is open every day with prices starting from £2 per session.
